Greenwich Avenue

Portland, Oregon

This 28-unit multi-family development transforms a constrained infill site in Portland into a thoughtful, high-performing residential community. Organized as two 14-unit buildings, the project responds directly to the site’s tight footprint and the city’s strict height limits measured from the adjacent right-of-way—constraints that became a catalyst for design innovation.

Through careful massing and section development, the buildings are sculpted to fit within the allowable envelope while preserving highly livable unit layouts. Shifts in form with refined roof profiles were needed to fit this project onto the site while enhancing the project’s dynamic form. The design balances efficiency and livability, maximizing density without sacrificing quality of space or constructability.
